CHURCHVILLE, NY – June 02, 2026 – PRESSADVANTAGE –
Wilkins RV dedicated its service department to the memory of team member Tyler Underwood during a ceremony held on May 13, 2026. The event honored Underwood, a service technician who joined the dealership in February 2021 and advanced to become a certified RV technician known for his dedication, skill, and positive impact on colleagues and customers.
The gathering included members of Underwood’s family, Wilkins RV team members, leadership, and representatives from the Mayfly Project. Attendees shared stories about Underwood’s passion for fishing and the outdoors, his warm personality, and his contributions to the Churchville team. A plaque featuring his photograph was unveiled and presented to his family to hang in the service department, ensuring his presence remains part of daily operations.
“While I personally didn’t know Tyler real well, this gave me the opportunity to get to know a lot about him through conversations with team members,” said Brian Wilkins, President of Wilkins RV. “I got to learn about his passion, how much he loved working with RVs, how great of a teammate he was, how great of a friend he was.”
The dedication also extended beyond the dealership. In recognition of Underwood’s love for fishing, Wilkins RV donated $3,000 to the Mayfly Project, a national nonprofit organization that mentors foster children through fly fishing and outdoor experiences. The donation aims to support building confidence, relationships, and positive life skills for participating youth.
Jordan Murphy, project lead for the Rochester, New York, chapter of the Mayfly Project, addressed the group during the ceremony. He highlighted how the organization uses time on the water to create meaningful connections for children who have faced instability. Murphy noted that Underwood’s passion for fishing made the partnership particularly fitting. The donation recognizes Underwood’s love for fishing, including his regular lunch-break outings, and supports the organization’s mission to build confidence and relationships through outdoor activities.
